Satan's Devices

A message from the Grace Singles Conference, December 30, 2002)

An old joke describes how hostile Indians once surrounded the Lone Ranger and his faithful Indian companion Tonto. "It looks like we're really in for it this time, Tonto!" said the Lone Ranger. To which Tonto replied, "What do you mean `we,' Kemo-sabi?"

I think of this joke every time I read II Corinthians 2:11:

"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."

Whenever I read this verse, I feel like asking, "What do you mean `we', Paul?" Most Christians are terribly ignorant of Satan's devices, especially the specific device being used by Satan in the context here.

The Corinthians had failed to excommunicate a fornicator from their midst (I Cor. 5:1,2), evidently feeling proud of the liberty to sin they thought they enjoyed under grace. Paul's words in the first Corinthian epistle so shamed them that they proceeded to put the man out of the assembly-but then another problem arose. After the fornicator repented, they refused to let him back in! Thus the specific Satanic device that Paul is warning us about in this context is extremism. First they were too permissive, then they were too strict!

Examples of extremism in Christianity abound. The Corinthians were too carnal, but the Galatians were too legalistic. Some husbands fail to accept their God-given role as head of the home, while others take headship too far and become abusive tyrants. Some fathers discipline their children too little, some too much.

Extremism even affects our Bible study. Some Christians don't take the Bible literally, but others take it too literally, refusing to allow God the right to use figures of speech, as when the Lord said, "This is my body" (Matt. 26:26). Some believers don't rightly divide the Word at all, while our Acts 28 brethren divide it too much. Finally, some of our grace brethren seem to be saying that God is not intervening in our lives today, but this too is taking things too far.

As dispensationalists we know that God will not part the Red Sea for us, feed us with manna from heaven, or preserve us alive and unharmed in a burning fiery furnace, as He did in time past. But, while God no longer intervenes in our lives in this overt manner, He is still active behind the scenes, as He was in the Book of Esther.

God's name is not even mentioned in Esther, but His providential work in the background is unmistakable. In Esther 3, a wicked man named Haman rose to a position of power in the kingdom of Persia (3:1). When a Jew named Mordecai refused to bow to him (v. 2), Haman was enraged, and determined to slay all the Jews (v. 5,6). He convinced the king to send out a letter to the remote corners of the kingdom, ordering the extermination of all Jews on an appointed day (v. 13).

What was God to do? The answer is, He had already done something about this. God had worked providentially in Chapters 1 and 2 to oust the former queen and replace her with Mordecai's cousin Esther. As we can now look back and clearly see, God had worked in advance to place a Jewess in a position of influence so that she might be firmly in place in the palace, ready to oppose this perilous threat before it even materialized. God had not caused the king's drunkenness (Esther 1:10), nor the former queen's disobedience to her husband that led to her divorce (1:12), but He was able to work with their sin to bring about His purposes (cf. Ps. 76:10).

The only question was: would Esther use her influence to save her people? When Mordecai begged her to intervene (Esther 4:7,8), she explained that to do so would endanger her own life (v. 9-11). Her cousin then responded to this excuse with a remarkable statement of faith:

"...if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place..." (v. 14).

Mordecai is so confident in God's ability to work behind the scenes, he tells her that God will somehow manage to save Israel with or without her. But then he waxes philosophical and says,

"...who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" (v. 14).

Mordecai thought he saw the hand of God in Esther's ascension to the throne, but he couldn't be sure, for God was not speaking audibly to those dispersed Jews at that time.

And this is precisely our situation today. As God works in the background rather than the foreground of our lives, we too think we see God's hand at work in a given circumstance, but we can't be sure, for God is not speaking audibly to us either. But there is something that Paul says in the Book of Philemon that assures us that He is at work amongst us just as surely, and in the same manner, as He was in the days of Esther.

The Book of Philemon concerns a slave named Onesimus who ran away from a Christian slave-owner named Philemon, only to meet up with the Apostle Paul and get saved (Philemon 10-12). As Paul returned this slave to his master, he too waxes philosophical and writes to Philemon:

"For perhaps he [Onesimus] therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever" (Philemon 15).

Like Mordecai, Paul thought he saw the hand of God in the events surrounding Onesimus, but he couldn't be sure. But these words of the apostle of grace, which so remind us of the words of Mordecai, teach us that God is working today under grace in the same way that He worked in Mordecai's day.

Now we must pause here to emphasize that God did not make Onesimus run away, for this was a sin (Col. 3:22), and God never causes any man to sin. But we know from the Old Testament story of Joseph that God is able to work with the sins of men to accomplish His purposes. Joseph's brethren envied him, hated him, and sold him into slavery (Gen. 37:4,8,11,28), but God was able to work with these sins to save Abraham's seed from the famine that He had foreseen (Gen. 41:29,30; 50:20).

We cannot understand how God is able to work this way any more than we can understand how God worked when He made Joseph a type of Christ. Joseph and the people around him simply lived their lives, making innumerable free choices and adult decisions. Yet through it all God worked to create well over a hundred types of Christ. How did God accomplish this? We don't know. But whenever God touches man, there is an element of mystery involved that we cannot explain. For instance, we cannot explain how Christ could be fully God and fully man, yet we believe this to be so. Neither can we understand how the Bible was written by men, but also by God, yet we believe this too to be the case. Nor can we explain how the men surrounding Joseph made decisions based on their own selfish interests, yet their countless decisions combined to make Joseph a type of Christ in so many ways.

In much the same way, God considers believers today to be adult sons (Gal. 4:7), and as such expects us to make intelligent decisions based on His Word as we react to the decisions of those about us and the circumstances that present themselves in our lives. Yet somehow God is able to work through it all to accomplish His purposes. We can see this illustrated in the way that God accomplishes His most basic of purposes today, His will that all men be saved (I Tim. 2:4).

Our understanding of God's providential working today vitally affects our understanding of how God gets the gospel to men who want to hear and believe it. Romans 1:19,20 declare that unbelievers are "without excuse" as to knowing about the existence of God, but this knowledge is not enough to save them. However, when a benighted soul in a primitive land responds favorably to the witness of Creation, God then works providentially to get the gospel to him. A missionary just starting out makes a free choice as to his field of service, but God has worked through him to get the gospel to the far-away man who wants to hear and believe it. Since there aren't enough missionaries to reach all men, God cannot leave all this to chance.

We know that this is how God worked in Old Testament times because of Psalm 25:12,14:

"What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that He shall choose."

"The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him; and He will shew them His covenant."

Here David explains how in his day, if a man feared the Lord, God would show him His covenant-and the covenant was the means of salvation in that day.

We know that this is also how God works today from the example of Onesimus. Did you ever wonder why this slave ran away from a believing master? Evidently Philemon had not shared Christ with Onesimus so God worked with the slave's disobedience to get him to someone who would.

This explanation of God's providential working in our day is the only one that leaves the unbeliever who never hears the gospel "without excuse" at the Great White Throne of judgment. God will simply remind him that he and all other men heard the witness of the stars, for "there is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard" (Ps. 19:1-3). The unbeliever will then have only himself to blame for rejecting this testimony, the acceptance of which would have initiated a sequence of events on God's part that would have brought him the gospel.

God's providential work in getting the gospel to would-be believers proves that His direct involvement in our lives did not cease once the transition to the dispensation of Grace was complete. While other examples of God's intervention in even Paul's latest epistles might be viewed as the last examples of a transitional period, the need to get the gospel to willing souls is a need that has continued throughout the dispensation. We can only conclude from this that if the need for God's intervention continues throughout the dispensation, then the providential means by which God gets the gospel to men must also be continuing to function throughout our dispensation.

But, if God is working behind the scenes today, how can we be sure what He is doing in any given circumstance in our life? The answer is, we cannot. If even Paul couldn't be sure of what God was doing in Philemon 15, surely we cannot. What then should we do? We can only determine to be faithful to the revealed will of God in any given situation, as did Paul.

And what happens if we don't? Then "enlargement and deliverance" shall arise "from another place." But, like Mordecai, we should ask ourselves in any given situation, "Who knows whether I am come to this situation for such a time as this?" It is a blessed truth that, while God would delight to use us, He doesn't need us. But He needs somebody. Why not determine to be the person that God can use to bring salvation and a knowledge of the truth to those who so desperately need it? God providentially places all of us in positions where we can be used of Him. The only question is, as it was with Esther, will we use our position of influence to serve Him? While Esther feared for her life, we just fear that people won't like us! God help us to have the spiritual fortitude to overcome our fears and live for Him.

Three Best ATVs For 2009

More and more people are getting ATVs not because of the extreme ride they provide. ATVs are now used to serve other purposes such as a leisure drive downtown or a quick trip to the grocery store to do some errands. Golf cars are also facing stiff competition in ATVs. Simply put, the ATV is becoming a part of the modern way of living.

Just in case you are one of them, you might be wondering what latest ATV models are the hottest in town. This list will give you a rundown of the 3 most comfortable, luxurious and quality quad bikes that will surely become the envy of every ATV fanatic like you.

Polaris Ranger RZR 170 - The Polaris Ranger RZR 170 is sure a thing of beauty. Manufactured by Polaris Motors, the company has kept up to its tradition with the Polaris Ranger RZR 170.

High end parts and materials are just some of the reason why this quad bike provide a great driving performance without compromising driver's comfort. In addition, this model has been the topper of all ATV review sites, with 9 out of 10 consumers very much happy. Priced around $4,000, this ATV's durability and overall functionality makes it a a great deal.

Arctic Cat 90 SE - The Arctic Motor Company also has hot and deluxe models to boast. Proof to that is the green-and-black colored Arctic Cat 90 SE, which is very much in demand right now. It sure is hot, not only because of the comfort it provides or the superb machine performance and value, but also because of its price.

It is astronomically cost effective than the Polaris Ranger RZR 170, usually around $ 2,600.00. Now, thats both hot and money-sensitive.

Honda TRX 450R - The best ATV in the market is none other than the Honda TRX 450R. Engineered by Honda Motors for extreme ATV racing, this model boasts of superior handling, maneuverability, and comfortable overall design.

Christmas Tree Permits in Arizona

Christmas tree cutting in Arizona is an annual holiday tradition a lot of families look forward to. Before that blessed event takes place, you have to get a Christmas tree permit. Christmas tree permits in Arizona are only sold to families and individuals--no companies, schools or other groups are allowed to buy them. Only one permit is allowed for each person or family each year, and the trees cannot be more than 10 feet tall.

The application process begins in September and October. People used to be able enter a drawing or apply for a permit online but the process has since changed, and now there are specially designated retail stores where you must go in order to get a Christmas tree permit in Arizona. In 2008, Big 5 Sporting Goods stores in Flagstaff, Prescott, and about a dozen Phoenix valley locations issued the permits.

Christmas tree permits in Arizona are very popular and they go fast because many people want to cut down their own Christmas trees. In 2008 a total of 3,850 permits were issued for $15 each, and they were sold out by December 11. Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest had 2,100 tags available for all species in their tree-cutting areas, the The Kaibab National Forest had 1,000 tags available for one cutting area (Tusayan ranger district) restricted to piñon or juniper, the Prescott National Forest had 450 tags available for any tree species in two recommended cutting areas, and the Tonto National Forest had 300 tags for either piñon or juniper trees for a single cutting area around Payson.

In Arizona, Christmas trees are allowed to be harvested from November 22 through Christmas Eve. The Christmas tree permits include details on where you can cut the tree, directions on how to cut it, a fact sheet, and safety information. You must keep your permit in a safe place and use your permit while it's valid; otherwise you will not be able to cut your tree, as duplicate permits are not issued.

There's nothing like cutting down your own real live Christmas tree for the holiday season, but since the drawing has been discontinued you really have to scramble in order to get a Christmas tree permit. For information on permits and the vendors selling them, you can call the Christmas tree hotline at 602-225-5258 for up-to-date information on Arizona Christmas tree permits.

Christmas tree permits in Arizona are a hot commodity. Once they are sold out, you'll have to wait until the next Christmas holiday to get one, so it's better to get one as soon as you can. Since they are issued on a first come, first serve basis, I recommend you go to a designated vendor the very first day they are available. The sooner you get there, the better chance you have of getting your Christmas tree permit.

Things You Should Know About Medical Scooters

Medical Scooters

Medical scooters are electrically powered vehicles with three or four wheel. They are often used by stroke survivors, people with limited mobility, those with severe arthritis and the elderly. While the earlier versions of scooters were slow and bulky, today's scooter is lightweight and easy to transport.

Types of Medical Scooters

There are two types of medical scooters based on the number of wheels that they have, which could be three or four. Three wheels can support 250 pounds. While the scooter that has four wheels can support up to 400 pounds. Each has its pros and cons. The four wheeled scooter can support more weight and is generally faster, but it is also bulker and harder to transport. Both scooters, however, can be folded into separate sections when not in use. That makes medical scooter fairly easy to transport in cars, trucks or vans.

While the overwhelming majority of medical scooters are electrically powered, there are gas powered models available. Both can be used for many hours before they have to be refueled or recharged. However, the gas powered model because of the pollution it creates is prohibited in many states.

Special Features

Medical scooters offer many features to help the physically impaired operate them more easily. Some of these features include: a swivel seat, a headlight, an adjustable seat, a locking mechanism, and a basket in the back. Medical scooters are also available in a variety of models and colors.

Prices

Most scooters are reasonably priced. Many companies offer new scooters starting at only $800. If you want a top of the line scooter with all the bells and whistles, if could cost you over $5,000. If you are on a strict budget, you may wish purchase a pre-owned scooter from your dealer.

Advantages over Wheelchairs

Medical scooter have several advantages over a motorized wheelchair. The two most important are maneuverability and portability. Motorized wheelchairs usually do not fold up and, therefore, are difficult to transport. You might need to purchase or rent a van or a small truck just to drive them around. They also may not fit through some doorways. But when you ride a medical scooter you can go virtually anywhere you want.

Brands

Today, the scooter market is flooded with many different brands. Honda, Wheelcare, Pacesaver, Invacare, Ranger, Trail Blazer, Pride, Easy-Light, and Ranger are just a few. Whatever your personal reference may be, there has got to be a medical scooter that is just right for you, if you need one. Depending on the needs of the buyer, all brands of medical scooters can be bought at local outlets or online.

Finding Jobs Working with Animals

If you love animals, then you might want to think about starting a job working with animals. However many people just think of veterinarians when they think about working with animals. Veterinarians are not the only way that you can get a job working with animals. Many other different kinds of jobs are out there to work with animals. Some of the other job categories working with animals are care and conservation of wildlife, zoos, and animal training.

Care and conservation of wildlife is a very important job category, and is a rewarding job if you like to work with animals in their natural habitat. Some of the different jobs that appear in this category are park ranger, game warden, and a wildlife rehabilitator. These jobs are very important to the animals in the wild, because they ensure that these animals will continue to have the habitat that they need to survive. These jobs also help to stop the needless poaching of wild animals, which has lead to some species landing on the endangered species list.

Zoos are another very important job category that allows you to work with animals. Zoos are very important because they allow people to enjoy them in a habitat that is very similar to their natural habitat. Zoos are also great places to help endangered species live and grow in a controlled environment. Many species of animals have been removed from the endangered species list due to the diligent work of zoo employees. Some of the jobs that appear in this job category are zoo keeper, zoo director, and zoo supervisor.

Animal training is one of the most demanding and rewarding job categories that allow you to work with animals. This category is also very exciting because many of the animals that are trained by animal trainers can kill them at any time if the trainer is not careful. However with much hard work and perseverance these animals can be trained to work in shows, on television, or maybe even win the Kentucky Derby. Some of the jobs that appear in this category are large animal trainer, obedience trainer, and horse trainer.

The Lone Ranger Sexy Halloween Costume - A Truly Unique Cowgirl

The Lone Ranger and his trusty friend Tonto are making a valiant return to the big screen in 2012 to take on bad guys and save the day as they always did. This cowboy is one of the most popular to ever brace the screens of our television, even though the show is nearly 50 years old, and with this show been so popular, some amazing Halloween costumes have been produced, and though the man's Halloween costume is the most superior of all cowboy costumes, The Lone Ranger ladies costume is so stunning you would not even need a gun to make the bad guys drop to the ground.

Associating a cowboy costume with just men is completely wrong, as there are some amazing cowboy, should I say, Cowgirl costumes for ladies available for the Halloween but none are as exciting or excellent looking as This brave Rangers costume.

This costume can be for any fancy dress party and not just Halloween. The Ranger dress is a gorgeous bold blue with a lace up detail and comes with matching blue cuffs. A sexy red scarf accompanies the dress as does a gun holster and belt.

This costume would not be complete with out the iconic Rangers cowboy hat and throw in there, the famous black eye mask worn by our valiant hero and you have your self a very sexy, stunning costume that would turn heads at any party and get tongues waggling.

With this costume, you could even partner up with a mans Lone Ranger costume for some friends or couples Halloween party fun, or there is even a gorgeous ladies Tonto costume, perfect for friends wanting to match up for a themed night of crazy laughs.

But on it's own, this ladies cowgirl Ranger Halloween costume is absolutely gorgeous and truly unique. The movie is not due out until 2012 ( Johnny Depp is Tonto and George Clooney rumored to be the Ranger) and this costume look is sure to take off and become very popular, so until then, you now have the opportunity to beat the crowds and stand out as a powerful yet gorgeous cowgirl this Halloween, but not just any ordinary Cowgirl, but the one and only Lone Ranger.

A Brief History of the US Army Rangers

The US Army Rangers are an elite group of 2000 highly trained combat soldiers that is comprised of three Rifle Battalions and one Special Troops Battalion. Although the headquarters is in Fort Benning, Georgia, they are trained to be quickly deployed, within eighteen hours notice, to anywhere in the world. They are fully prepared to travel by air, land or sea, in any type of weather conditions and in all types of terrain.

They are the ultimate airfield seizure and raid unit in the United States Army. The Rangers are highly skilled and thoroughly trained in combat techniques, raids, recovery of both people and equipment, and direct action operations. This light infantry divisions specializes in airfield seizures, ambushes, night fighting, reconnaissance missions, and rapid-fire infantry assault.

The Ranger's have been around since before the Revolutionary War. Originally, they were soldiers who were used to keep a watchful eye on the Indians to warn of attacks. They were also employed to show the way to villages or to areas of interest or conflict. They had such names as Church's Rangers and Rogers' Rangers and Marion's Partisans.

They fought in many American battles, with both Indians and the British, up to the Civil War. There were no Ranger units after that, until World War II, when the 1st Ranger Battalion was founded by Major William Orlando Darby. The first group was comprised of 50 men. Based on the success of that unit, many more battalions were formed over the years. In 1986, the 75th Ranger Regiment, as it is known as today, was formed.

Because the US Army Rangers are the elite Special Operations Force, anyone wishing to become a member must first pass a demanding orientation course before they can attend the Ranger School. The course starts with nine weeks of Basic Training, during which time the soldiers are put under extremely strenuous mental and physical challenges. The purpose of this is to see who can withstand the pressure. It is also meant to teach them leadership skills and advanced soldier techniques, so that they will be prepared for real life combat situations. The training is so brutal that only about twenty-five percent of the soldiers will actually graduate.

Those that pass the orientation course will move on to Advanced Individual Training, where they will learn a military specialty and then lastly, they will complete Airborne training. Once they are all done, they are assigned to the Ranger Regiment where they will attend the Ranger Indoctrination Program. Finally, if they pass, they are appointed to either the Ranger Regiment Headquarters, or to one of the three Ranger Battalions.

Apaches Blast Enemy Fighters in Zabul

ZABUL PROVINCE, Afghanistan -- Two Apache helicopters from 2nd Battalion, 82nd Aviation Regiment, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, were conducting area reconnaissance and surveillance when they received a call for assistance from a ground element of the 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, also known as Task Force One Fury. The ground element was under attack by indirect fire from insurgents attacking their small Afghan National Army outpost in eastern Zabul Province. The Apaches, on closing in on the ambush site, recognized an Afghan National Army Ranger truck and determined both visually and through communication with the ground force that the trucks were being operated by enemy fighters. Insurgents had mounted anti-aircraft guns in the back of the stolen trucks, and fired on the Apaches. The Apaches destroyed some of the enemy vehicles. The joint ANA and coalition effort resulted in the recovery of two stolen ANA Ranger trucks, the death of nearly 20 enemy fighters and the seizure of roughly 15 motorcycles and a significant amount of weapons including two anti-aircraft systems, various rifles, ammunition and bomb-making material.

Trouble Shooting Suction Side Automatic Pool Cleaners

Popuar Names

Some of the most popular brands of suction side pool cleaners include such names as Aquabug, Kreepy Krauly, Ranger, E-Z Vac and Polaris just to name a few. While they do an adequate job of cleaning in non heavy use situations, if malfunctioning in any one of a number of areas their effectiveness will become degraded.

Moving Through Your System

The first place to check if a suction side pool filter isn't doing its job correctly, is the pump basket and the filter. Make sure that both are clean and not clogged with debris. More often that not, this will be the source of your problem. However; if both the filter and the pumps debris basket are clean, you then have to work your way progressively through your system.

Your Next Step

Next, check the throat of the cleaner itself to see if it has become clogged by something that is too large to pass through it. Another place to check for obstructions is anywhere that the hose connects to anything, as debris can be caught by a coupling. If that isn't the source of your problem then move on to the next step.

Check The Hose

That is to carefully check the entire hose for cracks or holes. Start by bringing the hose up out of the water and lay it across a patio or deck with the end in the pool. Then connect it to a pressure coupling and turn the water on. Over at the end in the pool, place your hand over it to clog it slightly and then look to see if water is gushing from any leaks in the hose.

10 Ways to Monitor Corporate Stress Levels

10 Ways to Monitor Corporate Stress Levels

Good military leaders work hard to balance the

positive and negative stress. Positive stress

encourages high performance. Negative stress

degrades individual and unit capability. The best

leaders know how to use positive stress to get the

most out of their personnel. And they know how to

tone things down to when negative stress threatens

productivity

The Army is fanatic about training officers and

sergeants to take care of the troops. And these

well-trained leaders are fanatic about carrying

out their responsibilities. The soldiers in their

command don't always realize why these leaders are

so focused on having everything ready --

personnel, equipment, and training 100 percent

ready.

Even the most personable leaders are sometimes

accused of managing "by the book" or of being too

concerned with their own personal recognition and

promotion. But those who make these allegations,

miss the point. Just the opposite is true.

These "fanatic" leaders are primarily interested

in the welfare of their troops. They want to

complete the unit mission with minimum personnel

loss. Strict discipline, intensive and complete

training, and numerous inspections are essential

for combat readiness.

Failing to enforce regulations, conduct detailed

inspections, or practice combat readiness is

tantamount to dereliction of duty. The extra

effort that goes into intensive training programs

creates additional stress in the unit, but less

persistent commanders actually endanger their

troops and their mission when they fail to

schedule training that teaches troops how to deal

with stress.

---Detecting Stress---

Some corporate jobs are just as stressful as

military assignments. And some ongoing business

situations are as stressful as armed combat. You

can find the stressed employees by monitoring the

frequency of the conditions such as:

1. Anxiety

2 Indecisiveness

3. Irritability

4. Complaining

5. Forgetfulness

6. Loss of self confidence

7. Argumentativeness

8. Insomnia

9. Rapid emotional shifts

10. Physical exhaustion

--- How to objectively measure stress ---

Privacy laws prevent accumulation of specific

medical histories. But there are ways to get a

handle on what's going on in your company.

Here are some practical ways to bench mark current

levels and monitor future stress related

conditions.

1. Absences - require strict reporting. Watch for

changes or trends; The more absenteeism, the

greater the chance that stress is a factor.

2. Tardiness - Develop a daily report and weekly

summaries. Are some departments worse than others?

Are people arriving late because they dread the

upcoming stress?

3. Medical claims - Seek generic information from

your health insurance company on the number and

expense of medical claims. Categorize information

by type of ailment and observe how the frequency

of visits compares to major corporate activities

or stressful times of year. You might find that

stressful periods coincide with or precede an

increase in medical claims.

4. Professional assistance - Experts can analyze

the ways stress might be at the root of physical

ailments. They can help you examine the cause-and-

effect relationships that escape the attention of

those who aren't as well trained in stress

control.

5. Complaints or grievances - Keep records by

department. Those with a greater numbers of

complaints are probably ready for some stress-

control strategies.

6. Accident reports - Analyze accident reports

from the perspective of stress involvement.

Research how stress might have been the root cause

of accidents.

7. Errors in judgment or misstatements. Develop a

log of individual errors in judgment and

misstatements. If certain employees are prone to

making misstatements, they are prone to errors in

judgment. Monitor their decision making to

evaluate the cost of stress for your company.

8. Personal relationships - Note changes in the

way people relate to each other and the types of

action that cause some people to become more

argumentative. You can use this information to

control stress for the entire organization or for

specific individuals who are more sensitive to

stressful situations.

9. Customer service problems - Review customer

service problems from a stress perspective.

Determine whether some kind of stress reduction

could improve relations with customers or reduce

the number of errors involved with order taking,

preparation, shipping, or invoicing.

10. Quality problems - Include in your quality

reports a description of stress-related activities

occurring before and during the period in

question. Watch for trends among certain

employees or departments. Try to find the causes

of stress and what can be done to control the

stress reactions.

Corporate leaders and managers sometimes try to

manage the stressed people by using increased

demands and closer supervision. Instead, you

should use stress-reducing techniques to manage

the stressors.

While the demanding remedies of dictatorial

managers might get short-term improvement from

stressed employees, such relief is usually only

temporary. The increased urgency and focus on

details typically generates even more stress, and

the problems shift from slight distractions, such

as back pain, headaches, and inattention, to more

drastic reactions such as absenteeism and medical

problems, both good indicators that stress levels

need attention.

Just as in the Army, most leaders must be taught

to manage stress and to observe for negative

stress reactions. All managers need to understand

the importance of positive stress in maximizing

accuracy and productivity. And they need to know

how to control the negative stress for the benefit

of those involved and the bottom line.

If you don't have qualified staff in your company,

outside consultants and trainers can help you

evaluate current stress levels and train everyone

involved. Remember, stress control is a

leadership responsibility.

Aion Leveling - How to Power Level Your Aion Character & How to Create Legions (Guilds)

Aion is one of the newest MMOs on the market.

It already has a massive following straight from release in the Americas and Europe. If this is your first gaming experience however, finding out how to level in Aion may seem like a seriously daunting task. Aion can seem to be a complicated mountain to climb. Aion power leveling isn't impossible but is certainly a skill which I would recommend all players to read up on before setting out on your adventure throughout Atreia.

Leveling In Aion

A lot easier and therefore a lot more fun there is an option of using an Aion game guide. Since Aion was released in 2008 in Korea there has been many beta testers and professional gamers that have written various comprehensive guides on how to be the best and top of your game in Aion.

It is a very in depth MMO.

Much more so than a lot of others currently on the market and whilst a lot of traditional gaming strategies would be useful in Aion a specific guide would be far more beneficial to help you reach the Aion level cap as fast as possible.

There are times that you simply have to grind experience.

As very few quests are available between the levels 25 and 35 and an Aion guide will give you invaluable information on the best mobs to grind and in which areas. The crafting system is integral to leveling and unlike a lot of MMOs the crafted items are amongst the best in the game.

These guides will provide lists.

Of areas and the materials which can be harvested from each, this maybe the most valuable information as it means that whilst you grind for your levels you can also collect crafting materials and kinah along side, optimizing your gaming time.

Legions (Aion's version of Guilds).

The higher the ranking of your legion the more opportunities and items are available to the members. Things also become cheaper and being able to design and wear your own legion colors makes sure you stand out from the crowd. Once your legion hits top level your colors will be embossed on your members' shields, great touch from NCSoft i think!

Knowing Exactly Which Areas To Quest in, Which Quests To Take, and Which You Should Avoid.

Hopefully, the information and tips I've shared here were helpful enough to help you understand a little bit about leveling in Aion along with some basic information on Legions. However, if you really want to power level, know where the best areas are to quest in, which exact quests to take,(and which to avoid) and how to get your wings and armor sets as fast and cheaply as possible you'll need a more detailed step by step Aion leveling guide.

I strongly recommend the Aion leveling guide that I've been working with.It has a great questing and grinding path designed to really speed up the process, I'm an ex Aion Beta player and it even helped me tremendously.

Which is Faster? Law Or Science?

Science and technology is advancing at a rapid rate. With each passing day, new technologies and advancements make our world easier, safer and point toward a brighter future. But with each advancement and innovation, legal issues arise. The technology of the 21st century is often entrusted to law firms who operate under a 20th century business model. They cannot hope to comprehend the complex issues involved in technological advancements, much less keep up to speed with today's legal world. For clients who need legal representation in advanced technological areas, it would be foolish to consider a law firm that didn't have the necessary technical expertise. Started by experienced lawyers Dale G. Markland and Tara Hanley, Markland Hanley is a truly unique twenty-first century law firm-focused on diversity, advanced technology litigation, and time efficient and cost effective representation.

Markland Hanley regularly represents clients in litigation in which complex scientific and technical issues arise, including products liability actions and toxic tort actions. They seek to represent clients in the most advanced technology industries such as those manufacturing and supplying pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and biogenetics, computers and computer chips, and products utilizing robotics, artificial intelligence technology, and nanotechnology. They also have significant experience in other types of litigation involving injuries to reputation, including Internet reputational injuries, and other personal injuries and in complex commercial litigation, including business torts and breach of contract.

The attorneys at Markland Hanley have represented clients whose litigation customarily involves highly specialized engineering, medical, bioscientific, toxicological and epidemiological causation issues and other scientific and technical issues, including those clients in the pharmaceutical, heavy truck, automobile, automotive components, cosmetics and hair preparations, industrial gas, medical device, chemical, petrochemical and pesticides industries. We also have significant experience in representing hazardous waste generators.

Because Markland Hanley focuses their practice on limited specific technical areas, their knowledge of the technical issues arising in litigation regarding such areas is likewise extremely deep and well organized. They systematically review all Texas Supreme Court cases dealing with products liability law and exclusion of expert's testimony and continually update their summaries on these subjects, resulting in reduced time for billing personnel and cost efficiencies. Among other things, the following are tied into these exhaustive legal summaries: pleadings, deposition questions for adverse experts, motions to strike expert's testimony, motions for summary judgment and briefs, motions in limine, motions for instructed verdict and proposed jury issues and instructions.

These time efficiencies lead to significantly reduced hours for billing personnel and significant cost reductions for the client without reducing the thoroughness, effectiveness or quality of the legal actions. Dale Markland and Tara Hanley pride themselves on not only providing expert legal representation but also maintaining cost efficiencies. To do otherwise would be not only unprofessional, but foolish as well.

Legal Representation for the 21st century

Choosing the Right Helicopter

Each type of helicopter is different. But this doesn't mean that it is difficult to buy one that would fit your need for everything would boil down to your priority.

Helicopters are measured in terms of passenger capacity, comfort, versatility, speed, and of course cost.

Choosing the right one for you depends on these criteria. For example, if you want a cost effective helicopter strictly for personal use, you can take the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 (helicopter for 2). It has basic comfort and few features.

The exact opposite are the McDonnell-Douglas 500, Enstrom Shark, and the Agusta 109A. They are fast and more convenient to fly.

In between these 2 extremes are Eurocopter Squirrel and the Bell Jet Ranger. These are single turbine-engined helicopter that are more commonly used for filming work and charter flying. The Eurocopter Squirrel and the Bell Jet Ranger are agile, fast, and comfortable, but are constrained to fly on a fair weather.

This is not the case with the Sikorsky S76 and The Eurocopter Dauphin 2 which can fly at 200mph and can accommodate up to 14 people safely and comfortably.

With these, we can narrow down your selection into 3:

Light Piston-engined Types - If you want a cheap personal helicopter that could sit for two, the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 would be your choice. They can fly at the speed of 80-110 mph. With a seating capacity and small size, these helicopters are light, easy to fly, and easy to maneuver. Surprisingly, the light piston-engined helicopters use a more expensive fuel than that of the kerosene based turbine engines but they consume less fuel. However, the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 is less buyable for charter and corporate use. They are more popular, however, on training and personal use.

Light turbine helicopters - McDonnell Douglas 500E, Eurocopter Squirrel and the (Agusta-) Bell Jet Ranger are widely used around the world for its practicality and mid-range amenities, comfort, size, speed, versatility and price. Private owner often prefer light turbine helicopters among other types for these given reasons. The look is sporty and performance is almost perfect (if not perfect).

Twin Engined Helicopters - Stronger, safer, faster and more versatile helicopters are the likes of the Dauphin, Sikorsky S-76, Agusta 109, and Eurocopter Twin Squirrel. These are powered by 2 engines and can go places that other smaller helicopters can't go. These are far better choice for high-end market with high price bracket.

Now you have this information, you can choose what's yours.

Popular Halloween Costumes For Toddlers to Teens

Although Halloween is several months away, it's never too early to start getting some ideas for what your child might like to be this year. Most parents realize their child will change his/her mind at least a dozen times before the Halloween season is actually here, but parents can still throw some ideas out to them now.

Every little girl dreams of being a princess; Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Aurora and Princess Barbie are some of the most recognized princesses that every little girl can relate to. I'm sure if you ask any woman if they were a princess for Halloween when they were a little girl you'll get an astounding yes. According to the NRF (National Retail Federation) for the last three years running princess has remained the most popular costume for kids.

On Halloween night little boys love transforming themselves into Superheroes. The classics like Spiderman, Superman, Batman and Robin are always a big hit for trick-or-treating. Today a lot of popular trends for Halloween costumes are geared toward characters from movies that are considered summer blockbuster hits. This year there are some new heroes and returning heroes that will definitely be big sellers for Halloween costumes:

Iron Man
Speed Racer
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
The Dark Knight
The Incredible Hulk

Disney characters are always popular with children and Disney sure makes it easy with all the wonderful characters in their big screen movies and on the Disney channel. I'm sure all of us have seen Simba from The Lion King, Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story or a Power Ranger on our front porch trick-or-treating in years past on Halloween night. Last year some of the more popular costumes for pre-teen and teens were from High School Musical and Hannah Montana. High School Musical 3: Senior Year is being released on the big screen in October so you can bet that trend will be just as popular this year.

In a survey conducted by the National Retail Federation the top 10 most popular children's costumes last year were:

Princess
Spider Man
Pirate
Witch
Fairy
Disney Princess
Star Wars Character
Pumpkin
Ghost
Power Ranger

Whether your child wants a traditional classic costume or one that is based off a movie or television show they like, there are plenty of ideas for them to pick from. Have fun shopping around and enjoy getting them ready for their big night of trick-or-treating!

What to Expect at Your First Massage Appointment

What To Expect At Your First Massage Appointment

Do you have questions like: Do I have to undress completely? Does it hurt? Is there anything I should do to prepare? What will I feel like after? What is the process?

All those questions can be answered with the simple statement - It depends upon your goals and desired outcome. Some clients expect relaxation, some expect pain relief and others expect improved athletic performance.

There are, however, some elements common to all first massage appointments and to after care instructions.

Intake and Consultation

First, you are asked to complete a client intake form. This form alerts the therapist to any special needs, areas of focus or treatment contraindication. Be as thorough as possible and be prepared to briefly discuss any conditions that will impede or improve your massage.

This is a good time to discuss the techniques used and your comfort levels; tolerance to pressure, degree of undress.

Privacy and Comfort

Following a brief consultation in the massage room, the therapist leaves you in privacy to disrobe to your comfort level. There are some massage techniques that can be performed while fully clothed if you are uncomfortable disrobing at all; Shiatsu, for example.

Lie down on the table; usually face down, with your head supported by a padded face cradle. Cover yourself with the sheets provided. You are completely covered while lying on the massage table. Only the area being treated is uncovered.

Room temperature, heating pads and body position are all adjustable. Don't hesitate to ask for what you need for your comfort.

Massage Scope and Technique

A full body massage usually includes: the face and scalp, neck, shoulders, upper and lower back, arms, hands, gluts, legs, and feet. If there are any areas to avoid, let the therapist know in during the consultation.

Most massage therapist use a combination of techniques. Two therapists trained by the same school personalize the techniques and are never exactly the same. Therefore, choosing your therapist is an intensely personal decision. Communication and responsiveness are the keys to a successful relationship with a practitioner.

The techniques applied are determined through the consultation process and by conditions that present themselves during the massage.

The intensity of the work ranges from less physically demanding energy work, such as Reiki and relaxation techniques, to the more deep tissue and pressure point techniques such as shiatsu, Swedish, trigger point therapy, and assisted stretching. The deeper techniques are for injury rehabilitation, improved flexibility and athletic performance.

There should be no intolerable discomfort. The pressure used is to client tolerance, so speak-up if the pressure is too much. That said; there are benefits to tolerating some pain, depending on your desired outcome. If you are there for relaxation - no pain. If you are there for improved athletic performance - no pain/no gain.

Be aware; there is good pain and bad pain. Good pain is pain that is local to the pressure and might move SLOWLY. It is somewhat dull or achy. The best way to manage this type of pain is to breathe through it and let the therapist know if it becomes too much. Bad pain is sharp, shooting pain. This is never good. Stop the technique immediately. You might need treatment from a Chiropractor or physician.

Post Massage Care

Drink plenty of water. A massage can dislodge toxins and waste products from your tissues. Your body uses water as a medium by which to flush them. Your water needs depend on many factors, including your health, your activity level and your environment. A general rule is 8 to 12 - 8 ounce cups per day. Healthy adult kidneys can process fifteen liters of water a day. You will not suffer from water intoxication if you drink a lot of water, provided that you drink it over a span of time. Do not drink large amounts all at once.

Activity level after a massage, again, depends on outcome goals. Plan to relax for the remainder of the day.

Do not plan a competitive athletic event for three days after a deep tissue massage. If that is unavoidable, it is recommended that you do a light workout (30 to 50% of normal workout intensity) before the event. This prevents the muscles and joints from being too lax and vulnerable to injury.

If you have residual pain from a deep massage, use ice to reduce any sore spots.

If you have a headache, it is most likely because you did not drink enough water.

Following these guidelines goes a long way to insuring a positive first massage experience. These processes and technique are employed in our clinic with much success.

44 year old college baseball player

One Titan baseball player wasn't looking for fame when he came out for the team this season. He just wanted to play ball. But at the age of 44, retired Army Ranger Steve Reider has turned some heads. First with the coaches—but Reider convinced them he was serious and could cut it. Then he needed his wife's approval. Finally, the NCAA signed off as Reider has the grades and the doctors say he's okay to play. But probably Reider's toughest challenge was proving himself to the other players. After all, Reider's old enough to be their father. The County Line's Brad Weaver shows us how this retired military man is fitting in even though he's the "old man" on the Titan squad.

The FSBO Seller's Top Ten Tips For Selling Their Home For Sale By Owner

If you're considering selling your home by owner, congratulations! You're part of a growing trend toward FSBO property sales. If you're worried that going the FSBO seller route means that you'll miss out on all of those great agency sales tactics, you're wrong. You can do the same things that any real estate agent would suggest. To get you started, here's a list of the top ten things you can do for your home when you're trying to sell your home by owner.

1. Create multiple means of exposure. Houses sell when they're exposed to potential buyers. The more exposure you create, the more likely you are to sell. "Multiple means of exposure" means listing it on a FSBO site, providing pictures, tours, and information buyers want to know. Advertise your home in the newspaper. Print flyers that list the details of your home and be available to show home. Some buyers have turned to television ads for sale on real estate channels to attract buyers. The more exposure you provide, the easier it is for potential buyers to find.

2. De-clutter rooms and closets. A home looks nicer and shows better when it isn't cluttered. Remove magazines, books, furniture, stored items and things you no longer want. You'll have to pack all of this stuff before you move, so why not get an early start?

3. Fix peeling paint and other minor imperfections. Peeling paint can be a sign of deferred maintenance, bad painting or water damage. All of these things will turn off a buyer. Putting a fresh coat of paint on your walls and ceilings is easy and inexpensive.

4. Consider staging and research some ideas on the internet. Staging involves making your home visually attractive to potential buyers. It may involve re-arranging the furniture, renting new furniture, repainting, re-carpeting or minor redecoration to show off your home's best qualities. Staging doesn't have to break the bank, but a home that shows well sells. Whatever you can do to improve the look of your home will help your buyer see its potential.

5. Price the home right. Check recent sales in your neighborhood for an idea of what your home is worth. Do not overprice your home because if your price is substantially higher than other homes in your neighborhood. You will not be able to sell because overpriced homes whether Fsbo or MLS do not sell. Buyers want to feel as though they're getting value for their money. If your home is the most expensive one in the area, buyers will focus on finding a comparable home that's priced lower than yours.

6. Always have a yard sign and flyers. When potential buyers visit your neighborhood to see a particular home, they'll look for other homes that are for sale. If visitors don't know your home is for sale, you may miss potential sale opportunities.

7. Fsbo sellers need to create an online listing for their home on the internet and may consider using the FSBO marketing services that are available on the web. The key to selling your home is proper exposure and your chances of finding a buyer are greater when you make it highly visible to potential buyers.

8. Answering your phone is paramount as a Fsbo seller. It sounds simple, but many people who are selling their homes Fsbo miss potential buyers who are calling to inquire. Make absolutely certain you or someone else is available to take calls. Don't assume that an answering machine or voice mail service is sufficient because many potential buyers won't leave a message when they call.

9. Spend some time on landscaping. Making the outside of a home look appealing and fresh is just as important as making the inside look nice. Remove or trim bushes. In the summer, plant attractive flowers, cover beds with wood chips or mulch and keep things weed free. Mow the lawn frequently. If you don't know anything about landscaping, check with a local nursery, gardening club or even a nearby university with a botanical program. Students are often willing to take on landscaping projects.

10. Partner with a bank or lender to offer potential financing sources for prospective buyers. Local banks, credit unions and mortgage brokers may be able to offer financing deals that can help a buyer get into your home. Offer all visitors financing information from your local bank or lender when they tour your home. You want to make sure any potential buyer is qualified to buy the home.

These are just a few of the things you can do to help your home stand out. In current market conditions, selling a home is about pricing, location and exposure. If you have all three of these elements in place, there is no reason to think you won't sell your home as effectively as any real estate agent.

Find the Free Auto Repair Manual You Need Online

You can easily get a free auto repair manual for whichever repair need you might have. You need an internet access and have to follow a certain procedure searching for auto repair manuals, but when you have done this procedure a few times it will be very easy to find the right instructions for do it yourself auto repair and it won't cost you a dime.

There are four types of automotive description documents that you will need to choose from when you want to do a repair;

General manuals

Diagnosis descriptions

Repair manuals

Maintenance manuals
General Manuals

In addition to some general manuals, most of these are related to the make. Here you can get step by step guidance on how to repair most of the makes in the vehicle market. Let's say you have a Honda Acura 2002 model and you want to find a manual for that make and model. What you do is perform the following search in a search engine: "free car manuals+Honda Acura+2002". Then you will have a long list of sites that provide you with all kinds of descriptions for your Honda Acure 2002 model, and you can choose what you want.

Diagnosis descriptions

Automotive diagnosis manuals can also be sub-divided by make and model. But it can also be divided by the area of the vehicle that is affected, for example engine intake problems, brake problems, cooling problems, exhaust problems, start or stall problems, transmission problems etc. Let's say you have a start problem. Your search would be "car diagnosis manual+ start problem", then you should get more than enough repair information to choose from. You can even get diagnostic trees where all options are covered for nothing.

You have probably more than one time heard some annoying noise from somewhere in your vehicle, without finding the source of it. This is one of the most kinky situations to run into because you don't know if it is a serious signal or just a small thing. Some websites gives you the opportunity to diagnose vehicle problems by the noise, sound and vibrating signals - and that is great. The sooner you find it the sooner you can fix it and then you can relax. When you search, you can describe the sound, for example "whine noise" or "shifter knocks" or "driveline vibration" plus car diagnosis manual plus eventually the make.

Repair Manuals

In addition to regular manuals you can also get very instructive and detailed descriptions in other internet document or websites like articles, etc. The natural way to sub-divide such repairs before searching, is by the area of the vehicle that is going to be repaired, for instance body repair, exhaust repair, suspension fix, interior repair and even general car repair.

You do the search the same way as above; "car repair manual (or description) + the area of repair and go through the list of resources you get.

Maintenance manuals

Though vehicle maintenance is closely related to your vehicle make and model, there are some maintenance issues that are pretty much common whether you have a Cadillac, VW or a Mercedes, for example changing oil, changing air filters, engine wash, fluid maintenance, tier maintenance etc. You can get access to maintenance descriptions by searching for the kind of maintenance plus "car maintenance manual (or description)" plus eventually your make and model.

I think you'll be amazed of the amount of automotive repair free stuff online.
