The Army Special Forces - Making the Cut

The Army's Special Forces Ranger School is one of the most demanding and rigorous tests of physical and mental fortitude to be found anywhere on Earth. The only way to succeed is to prepare. Candidates who wish to succeed in Army Special Forces must develop strength, stamina and a solid core strength.

They must have the proper mental attitude and a commitment to excellence. Candidates must eat properly and hydrate themselves extensively in order to perform the necessary physical tasks successfully. With effort and determination, candidates can develop the ability to not only survive Army Ranger School but they can thrive, succeed and lead one of the world's elite fighting forces, the Army Rangers.

Proper Prevention Prevents Unnecessary Pain And Injury

Preparing oneself physically for the rigors of Army Special Forces training is only one component that requires the attention of potential candidates. Army Special Forces training requires that candidates possess all of the strength, stamina and adaptability necessary to successfully complete their training. Candidates must also be able to function efficiently and proficiently as a team player. Potential candidates can have an immense impact on their likelihood of success by training ahead of time.

Running is one of the best preparations for Army Ranger School. Potential candidates should run regularly and intensively with a good attitude, comfortable shoes and an abundant water supply. Inadequate hydration can be deadly when pushing the limits of physical ability. Time to rest is equally important. Endurance and strength can be developed by hiking regularly while carrying up to one-third of ones' bodyweight.

Cross-country trails or city sidewalks can be used for hiking and running. In fact, using a variety of terrains in advantageous as it prepares candidates for the tests they will be facing in Army Special Forces Training. The most important point is to train both as much and as often as possible without causing damage to the body or the level of determination.

Strength And Stamina

Swimming is an excellent way to develop core muscles and to ease the aches and pains that may come from other aspects of the new fitness regime. Swimming also helps potential candidates to develop better lung capacity. This makes all of the workouts more effective and productive.

Push-ups, pull-ups and sit-ups are a big part of the Army Ranger School fitness program. Practice them often and for as long as possible. There are online resources both for planning a fitness regime and to identify the minimum fitness scores for success as an Army Ranger.

Attitude and determination are far more important than current fitness levels when it comes to making the cut in Army Special Forces Training. Learning how to work as a reliable, precise and skilled team player is crucial. If candidates have the drive, the commitment and the force of will, their bodies can develop the strength and stamina necessary to succeed at Army Ranger School. Army Ranger School graduates are physically fit, mentally capable and technologically prepared to fight and rescue under any conditions, at any time, in any place, all in the name of freedom.

Helo Cast, Underwater Knot Tying, Drownproffing Training Our Training Course "Hell Night" is an intense 24-hours designed to show guys how to survive Navy SEAL Hell Week. This is accomplished by using all SEAL instructors who have survived BUDS themselves and teach guys how they did it. The day gets progressively harder and at midnight, we take off the gloves as Instructors and see if trainees have learned anything they were taught during the day. Not a mindless day of push-ups and wind sprints, this is a training course dedicated to helping guys survive the "number one" evolution in BUDS ( Hell Week) that trainees quit BUDS Training participating in. "You can't do that in just 24-hours!" THE F**KI CAN'T! I have since 1992 and it works... The second hardest part of BUDS is staying motivated for six hard months. Most guys know a lot about BUDS, but little about the ultimate goal, which is SEAL Team and each push-up and each day in BUDS becomes harder. We take care of that with Platoon and Advanced Training and show guys some of what they'll be doing as SEALs. Training with SEALs and asking questions, planning missions, shooting weapons and combat survival helps maintain focus for the "Toughest Military Training in the World." Kick Some Ass. http
