Hell Night, Platoon, Advanced, and SEAL Advanced Operator Training. SEAL Training BUDS Prep. Helo Cast, Underwater Knot Tying, Drownproffing Training Our Training Course "Hell Night" is an intense 24-hours designed to show guys how to survive Navy SEAL Hell Week. This is accomplished by using all SEAL instructors who have survived BUDS themselves and teach guys how they did it. The day gets progressively harder and at midnight, we take off the gloves as Instructors and see if trainees have learned anything they were taught during the day. Not a mindless day of push-ups and wind sprints, this is a training course dedicated to helping guys survive the "number one" evolution in BUDS ( Hell Week) that trainees quit BUDS Training participating in. "You can't do that in just 24-hours!" THE F**KI CAN'T! I have since 1992 and it works... The second hardest part of BUDS is staying motivated for six hard months. Most guys know a lot about BUDS, but little about the ultimate goal, which is SEAL Team and each push-up and each day in BUDS becomes harder. We take care of that with Platoon and Advanced Training and show guys some of what they'll be doing as SEALs. Training with SEALs and asking questions, planning missions, shooting weapons and combat survival helps maintain focus for the "Toughest Military Training in the World." Kick Some Ass. http

The 2010 Ford Ranger

Coming with a load of options that make this truck highly customizable, the 2010 Ford Ranger has slipped under the radar. The biggest improvements come in the form of new standard safety features. Ford now offers the long lasting trucks with Advance Trac Roll Sensor system that actually has a gyroscope telling the vehicle how to handle so that it doesn't roll. As a truly compact truck, it one of the few left that resembles the small trucks of years gone by. Ford hasn't really changed these trucks significantly, and for good reason.

Engines available still include a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder, 2.7 liter V-6, and a 3.7 liter V-6. The smaller 2.3 liter gets an unprecedented 21 mpg in city driving, and 26 mpg highway. For the small truck class those numbers are at near industry best, even beating out small SUVs. Consumers who need a little more power can still utilize either of the V-6 engines and still receive great fuel economy. The larger engine will have around 16-17 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.

Trim packages available include the XL, XLT, Sport, and FX4. The basic model, (XL) comes with power windows and locks as optional accessories, an AM/FM stereo, work (plastic) flooring or carpeting. As simple work truck, XL models are more than adequate for doing simple work tasks. Although none of these vehicles will be able to haul or carry substantial loads, they are quiet effective for every day truck needs. XL models commonly come with the smaller 4 cylinder engine and 2 wheel drive. Mid-level packages are the XLT models. An XLT come with standard full power accessories, either 2 or 4 wheel drive, the new advance trac roll stability system, and a choice of different interior fabrics. The new safety feature utilizes a gyroscope that feels tension through turns, while estimating the lean of the vehicle. By combining those factors with speed, the system is able to adjust making it far less likely for drivers to lose control.

Sports packages have been manufactured for performance on pavement. The suspension system has been tuned so that highway driving is more responsive, and a more powerful engine is utilized on these models, The off road packages, or FX4 are renowned for their great off roading capabilities. Whether driving on dirt, or in poor weather these trucks are ideal for getting you where you need to go. All FX4 models have raised suspensions, custom Bilstein shocks, and a superb 4 wheel drive system.

Each vehicle comes with a regular cab, extended cab, or crew cab. As far as interior comfort goes, it is hard to compare one of these trucks with another small truck. Both Chevy and Toyota have enlarged there smallest trucks making them substantially larger than the 2010 Ford Ranger. For it's size however, the Ranger is able to offer comfortable seating for the driver and passengers (less so for rear passengers). The seating won't recline very far on regular cab models, but for small road trips it is more than adequate for an enjoyable ride.

The 2010 Ford Ranger is the only small, truly compact pickup left on the market. Competitors have either been discontinued over the years, or enlarged in size. For fuel economy and overall pricing, the Ranger is an ideal truck for consumers who don't need a full size pickup. Ford hasn't changed a lot in regards to the body style of these trucks, but they do offer a whole range of options that make them highly customizable to consumers preferences. Starting at $15,000 for basic models, the Ranger might just be the best all around small truck on the market.

A Garden of Victory!

Rangers win forth straight while winning first this month at home. The Rangers are playing exciting hockey again and after winning their forth straight they were able to get their first win on home ice this month.

I don't know if the Rangers were feeling differently about themselves after the home ice 2-0 shut out loss to the Islanders five games ago, but since then they've been finding a way to win hockey games. Weather it's Lundqvist coming up big between the pipes as he did on the Island following the 2-0 loss game and the following game in Philly as he was a monster in the third or could it be this secondary scoring we've been getting just in time for the holiday season.

Over the past four games the Rangers have put up 15 goals while only giving up 5. Yes, Henrik has been great allowing only one in three of those games but Dury has put up points as so did Prospal and Callahan. With these guys contributing to the offense this Ranger team could make some noise in the Atlantic. In last night's game the Rangers fell into a 1-0 hole at the 4:09 mark but this lead would only last 2 minutes and 13 seconds as Dury would convert to tie the game at 6:22.

Rangers would move forward from their and connect on their next goal on the power play. V. Prospal first of the night at 4:55 of the second for a 2-1 edge.

The blue shirts would take a 2-1 lead into the third and wasted no time to take a two goal advantage as V. Prospal would do it again only:23 into the final session. Prospals emotions showed scoring as it was the first time he did so in 14 games.

Mr. automatic Mr. leading goals scored in the NHL would stamp this game off with a victory when the Panthers went on the power play and Dury would pressure the puck and was pulled down that lead to the ref raising his arm for an upcoming power play for the Rangers but no need as Gaborik received the push up pass and was able to slide it through Vokoun's legs for a 4-1 lead and wave off the penalty to the Panthers while scoring his first short handed goal of the season.

The eight place NY Rangers put in a complete game at the Garden last night and even in a couple of the team's break downs the King was there to defend for them. An all out team effort supported this win and In a month of ups and downs it's good to see the ups at the end of the month and the downs behind us. The two day NHL Christmas break is a upon us and the Rangers gave their faithful an early gift from their play of late.

Next up is the NY Islanders on Saturday night 12/26 at the Garden, the team that might of awoken a team that was looking to be headed no where fast.

The ABC of Skyscrapers - Concrete Boom Pumps

Over the years, the world has witnessed some fantastic buildings being erected in an amazingly short span of time. The exploits in the field of engineering has gifted engineers with some fantastic tools to carry out the various tasks related to construction in a relatively easier way.

Every single step needs to be taken carefully when you start constructing a building from the scratch. Perfection in all these steps ensures a strong and healthy structure. From leveling the ground to the final touch up, constructors can find equipments and tools for every single task.

After the leveling and addition of gravel, you need to start with the huge task of pouring concrete. This particular step is a major defining factor when it comes to the strength of a building. Concrete pump trucks have been used to pour concrete for a long time now. Other than concrete pump trucks there are a large number of options that engineers can choose from. However the most popular amongst the various concrete pumps available in the stores is the Concrete Boom Pump.

Effective and User-friendly

Concrete Boom Pumps: These pumps are used in the construction of high-rise buildings. The ability of these pumps to reach distances up to 175 ft makes them the first choice of engineers. Truck mounted concrete boom pumps available in the markets are widely used as they help in pacing up the whole process of pouring concrete.

Having won accolades all over the world, manufacturers also provide customers with various options like different boom configurations, various pump sizes and remote controls. The truck mounted concrete boom pump is a single entity compiling a frame, a pump and a truck. These devices work in unison and help in pouring concrete in a wide area in a short span of time.

The fact that concrete boom pumps have been appreciated by people around the globe stands to the advantage of customers. A large number of brands and companies manufacture these pumps and the competition amongst these manufacturers has forced them to sell these pumps at decent prices.

Other Concrete Pouring Options

Other concrete pouring devices include line pumps, mortar pumps, gunite pumps and mudjacking pumps. These devices have also proved to be very useful but none has proved to be as effective as concrete boom pumps. Similarly you can find skid mounted and rail mounted concrete pumps. However these pumps can only be used mines and tunnels. While concrete boom pumps are used for bigger constructions, other pumps are used for small scale constructions and hence depending on your need, you get a wide range of concrete pumps to choose from.

If you are looking to purchase a concrete boom pump, you can look for various manufacturers over the internet. The internet is a great shop for purchasing absolutely anything you want and often the deals you get over the internet are better than those you would find in stores.

What Do the Music Lyrics Mean? Sometimes the Words Get in the Way

So you want to write a hit record. Do you concentrate on music or lyrics? You might think having meaningful lyrics would carry a lot of weight. Apparently not. According to a song info blog some of the greatest songs of all time are completely mis-understood. I'm not talking about lyrics that are inaudible or heard wrong. I'm talking about knowing exactly what the singer is singing but you have no idea what he/she means or in most cases you just don't care. In lots of cases the song becomes a hit and most people will admit "I've never really paid attention to the lyrics".

Here are a couple of quick ones that were pretty big hits the last few decades. The Beatles classic 'Let it Be' was actually about a dream Paul McCartney had about his mother. Philadelphia Freedom by Elton John was actually a tribute to pro tennis player Billie Jean King. Did you ever realize the 1982 dance classic Beat It by Michael Jackson was actually about gang wars or that 1987s 'Sister Christian' by Night Ranger was actually about one of the band members sister? In 1997 mmmBob was a catchy tune by Hanson. It actually had a strong philosophical message to it, hold on to your relationships because before you know it they'll be gone (in an mmmbop). In 1988 a one-hit-wonder by Midnight Oil called Beds are Burning was actually a staunch political statement about giving Austalian people their land back. Who Knew?.

Very interesting stuff. The list goes on and on. I'm not sure if it's funny or sad that groups go to great lengths to get their message out only to find it has fallen on deaf ears (no pun intended). It makes you realize there is no magic formula for writing a popular song. Although looking at it from this angle it really makes you think. You can always find people that like the song without knowing what it's about but when is the last time you heard someone say "I don't care for the music or arrangement on that song, I just listen to it for the lyrics!"?

For more in depth information on the songs mentioned and a bunch of others visit http://www.SongSense.info

Yosemite Fun - Travel With Kids

Even before its establishment in 1890, Yosemite National Park has already been popular with tourists and visitors.  Today, the park remains as a top tourist attraction in the Sierra Nevada, especially for families with young children.  Once your child has reached the age when he starts to develop an appreciation for things, bring him to Yosemite.  There's plenty of great fun that awaits kids in this spectacular environment.  Here are just a few samplings of what you and your family can expect:

Learning about animal friends

Children who love animals and are interested in wildlife will enjoy many of the programs currently available in Yosemite.  There's a pre-school program called the 'Wee Wild Ones' that the park offers that teaches kids about animals through storytelling, games, songs and crafts.  This program is designed for children 6 years old and younger.  Admission is free.

Becoming a Junior Ranger

If your child is a born explorer, why not sign him up for Yosemite Park's program called Junior Ranger?  This program is designed for children from ages 7 to 13, although younger ones aged 3 to 6 can join the Little Cubs.  The program teaches kids about the value and importance of the environment through related activities.  The Junior Ranger Walk (a guided tour that lasts an hour) is done in summer.

Exploring

If you're visiting Yosemite in the summer, bring your kids to Happy Isles.  This is the park's nature center where kids can learn about the native species of animals that live in the area.  There are also activities hosted by park rangersRangers lead kids through walks and allow them to participate in activities during a campout.

If you'd rather participate actively in helping your kids discover the beauty of Yosemite, take them for short hikes.  Yosemite Valley is a good location for this purpose because many of the trails found here are designed for family exploration.  Use a guide to refer to the features you'll encounter during the hike.

Enjoying the view

Yosemite offers an alternative way to allow kids to enjoy the scenery: through a kid-friendly train ride.  It's known as the Sugar Pine Railroad and it goes through the Yosemite forest.  You have a choice between the jenny railcar and the steam train.

Discovering history

Yosemite offers an invaluable lesson in history for young children and teens.  Bring your kids to the Yosemite Museum to view the exhibits and let them learn about North American Indian culture through the Indian Cultural Exhibit.  The Ahwahnee, an Indian village, is right behind the Yosemite museum.  It showcases the culture and traditions of the Paiute and Miwok people.

Bringing out the artist in your child

Yosemite is so stunning in its utter beauty and majesty that it could never fail to awaken the inner artist in your child.  For kids who have been dabbling in the arts or those who wish to explore their creativity, a visit to Yosemite can be the one perfect opportunity to allow them to do this.  When visiting Yosemite, bring a camera or some art supplies.  Then let your child's imagination run free.

We Are Crazy Tough to Survive in This Market

It takes a viable organization and the ability to adapt and the people who have the "Sand" to pull it off. We have seen horrendous markets in the late 70's, the early eighties and the late eighties were not all that great either. These were challenging however the companies and individuals that had the passion to succeed found a way to adapt.

These last couple of years and the year ahead has forced many companies to explore new avenues to prosper in the worst market most of us have personally experienced. In the real estate industry here in Tucson, the companies that have come through are the ones who have the toughest people and the systems to allow them to succeed in emerging areas of market viability.

These include the REO/foreclosure market, the short sale market and the rental market. In the residential real estate industry, these are the three areas that can sustain an organization and its' agents and staff.

As we forge ahead these next 12 months, companies will have to decide where to put their limited capital in upgrading their systems. These systems include lead generation, web site optimization, phone and communication, internet access, continuing education for the agents and staff, file management systems, accounting and information gathering systems.

To put all this in motion takes leadership and people with the mental toughness and skills to prevail. The Arizona Rangers of 1903 had this toughness and integrity to bring the Arizona territory into statehood. They were able to assess the landscape and come up with a plan to survive in very difficult circumstances.

Weed Killer Chemicals

Although there area a great variety of brand names for weed killers, the actual number of active chemicals used to produce these products is about 5. Most of these can be classified as a broadleaf herbicide, meaning that is will kill off plants that have a larger than average foliage component. Normally this would exclude grass, but on some occasions, manufacturers will add another component to the mixture, making it lethal to this substance as well. Usually the actual chemical name is listed first followed by a trade name. The first one or two on the label are the only ones that need to be examined, since many of the other ingredients are usually inert or used as fillers.

The first chemical is 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacedtic Acid which is found in a variety of products, including Scotts Green Sweep, Ortho Weed B Gon and Triplex among others. These are of the weed and feed category, designed to kill off the unwanted lawn pests, while boosting the growth of grass. This substance is both a surface and groundwater contaminant. There can be problems with the endocrine gland in humans.

2-Methoxy-3,6-dichlorobenzoic acid (Dicamba) is found UltraStop Lawn Weed Killer, Scott's Pro-Turf and Tracker among others. It is classified as a broadleaf herbicide as well, with warnings from the EPA as a potential toxin. There is also evidence linking this chemical to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

2-Methyl-4-chlorphenoxy-propionic acid (Mecoprop or MCPP) is found in Menards Premium Weed & Feed, Mecomin-D and Kilprop products. It is also a broadleaf herbicide that has a number of different applications as well. The International Agency for Research on Cancer has identified this substance as a possible carcinogen for humans. Birds have also been show to be affected by exposure to this chemical substance.

2-Methyl-4-chlorphenoxyacetic acid (MCPA) is a component of Agritox, Envoy and Vacate chemical lawn formulas. It is often combined with the previous substance for additional strength. It is listed as a possible cancer causing agent along with being a surface and groundwater contaminant.

N-phosphonomethyl glycine glyphosate is a major ingredient in Ortho Ground Clear, Ranger and Pondmaster weed control applications. It is a broad spectrum herbicide that will kill grass and other plants. This chemical will leach from soil to contaminate ground water and is toxic to aquatic animals.

All of these substances kill weeds effectively, but should only be applied as per the instructions to ensure proper results are obtained and no side or collateral damage is done to your garden.

NHL Eastern Conference "The Final Stand" - Who Will Get In?

The Situation at hand, the Rangers have 82 points, the Flyers 84, the Bruins 84, Canadians 86 and the Atlanta Thrashers 81.

Games remaining Rangers 4, Flyers 3, Bruins 4, Canadians 3 and the Atlanta Thrashers 3.

Ok, now we'll go through each teams games left, home and away with the out comes of the matches and see who makes it into the second season. The final standings will be at the end of the article.

Atlanta Thrashers are at ninth place with 81 points and three games remaining. Well Atlanta, it looks like your hill will be the greatest to climb. With only three games left the teams you have to play are the New Jersey Devils at home, on the road against the Washington Capitals and at home again against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Your two home games are going to be ruff one's due to the fact the Penguins and Devils are still playing for something, the division title. Which means home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The Capitals already clinched the President's trophy but I wouldn't expect them to sit back and lose the game on purpose. Prediction Atlanta finishes their last three games at 1-1-1 giving them a total of 84 points.

Next up the New York Rangers with 82 points. The Rangers have been the hottest team of the five teams looking to get into the final three playoff spots, however they are still on the out side looking in at ninth place. They do control their own destiny if they win the rest of their games out right as going four for four will get them in but it won't be easy with a home and home at the end of the season verses the Philadelphia Flyers. The Rangers four remaining games are home games against the Flyers and Maple Leafs and road games against the Buffalo Sabers and Flyers again. Prediction the Rangers will go 2-0-2 in their final four games and finish with 88 points.

The Boston Bruins have four games left and stand at 84 points, hence another team with a tuff schedule. They will have to play two road games against Alex Ovechkin and home games against the Buffalo Sabers and the Carolina Hurricanes. Bruins have been playing decent hockey lately snatching two much needed overtime victories against the Devils and Maple Leafs. Those two extra points could save their bid for the second season but maybe not. I see them going 2-2 in their final four and finishing up with 88 points.

The Philadelphia Flyers have 84 points with three games remaining. The Flyers have been on a downward spiral of late having goalie problems but picked up a huge win against the Detroit Redwings on Easter Sunday. The Redwings have been the hottest team in the league who haven't lost a game in regulation since Philly beat them 4-3. That game will give them motivation in their final three games but I see them going 1-1-1 in those games finishing up with 87 points.

Montreal Canadians have 86 points with three games remaining. They lead the pack and by my predictions so far it looks like they will only need three points out of their three remaining games to get a fresh start. Let see their schedule looks like this on the road against the Islanders, Hurricanes and the season finale at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs. All three of the teams the Canadians will face will not make the playoffs, however they will be trying to play spoiler. And all of these three teams have proved to be tuff opponents of late. Montreal will go 1-1-1 finish with 89 points and make the playoffs.

If my predictions are correct the final standings will go like this: Canadians with 89 points, Bruins with 88 points, Rangers with 88 points, Flyers with 87 points and the Thrashers with 84 points. Flyers and Thrashers miss the playoffs.

Follow all these teams down the stretch with video recaps: http://www.puckvideo.com

How to Get More From Your Team

If you are leading or managing a team, I guess that you want to get the best you can from that team. The reality is that, if you want to get the best from your team going forward, you need to make some changes. So if you want to get more from your team, what specific things can you do?

Set clear goals

A team needs to know what it is expected to achieve. Yet often teams are given vague goals as outcomes. As a result, they spend time trying to guess what is required rather than getting on and delivering results.

Build trust

A team without trust is really not a team at all. In reality, building trust takes time and effort. We are all to a greater or lesser extent used to being the lone ranger, looking after ourselves. Making the step to becoming trusting of others takes courage so recognize that it will take time.

Make praise a priority

Have you ever noticed how people often hold off giving feedback until something formal like an appraisal? It is easy to change this and start giving praise for both effort and achievement. Not only is it easy to do, it is one of the cheapest forms of motivation around.

Show the way

The team, how it behaves, responds to challenges and obstacles, takes the lead from you. Model the strategies and behaviours that you expect from others and you might just be surprised at the difference it makes.

Encourage and support

To help with motivating your team, make it a priority to encourage and support them. When you create safety, you encourage others to take risks and try things out. After all, it is that willingness to take a chance that creates results.

The Bottom Line: Teams have the potential to create great results. So where do you need to pay attention to get great results from your team?

The New York Rangers Season is Still Alive!

The heart still beats on the 2009 2010 New York Rangers season with a dominating win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Rangers won period one 3-0, took the same lead into period three and won the third 2-1 adding up to a 5-1 win.

The win sets up a home and home series with the Philadelphia Flyers who the Rangers trail by two points. The Rangers will need to take both games from the Flyers with at least one in regulation to move onto the second season. They can also get in if the Bruins lose their last three games of the regular season and they split with the Flyers.

Bottom line Rangers take care of business against the Flyers and they get into the playoffs and could finish off as high as sixth place. But yet again, take care of your own business.

Round one of the playoffs begins at the garden on Friday night, a must win!

The Rangers wasted no time to let the hockey world know the last two games of the season will count as Erik Christensen scored just 21 seconds into play to pump the team and the garden faithful.

Vinny Prospal would follow up a Olli Jokinen partial breakaway to make it a 2-0 game and then Marian Gaborik would dish off a beauty to Christensen as he would soon have his second of the night for a commanding 3-0 Rangers lead as they took the lead into the first intermission.

Jokinen and Voros would add goals in the final session as Dion Phaneuf would do the same for Toronto breaking Lundqvist's bid for the shutout, but the king was on his game in this one stopping 26 of 27 shots earning himself third star of the game.

Well here we are! After 80 games of play and two more wins away from getting into the playoffs. Will getting into the playoffs salvage a season with many downs? I can tell you this, with two more wins it will add a lot more excitement, hope and a sigh of relief. A loss and not making the Stanley Cup Playoffs as they did the previous four seasons will be a stamp of failure and add misery and pain to the long 82 game season.

See Video of the Rangers dominating the Maple Leafs here and possibly saving their season.

What Your Child Can Learn From The Power Rangers (and you can too)

I am the mother of a 5-year-old American boy who occasionally watches television. This means that we are now members of the Power Ranger Cult. I admit when I was first exposed to these multi-colored heroes I was more than a little disdainful. I did much to dissuade my son from his attachment, but it was pretty difficult to counteract the spell of the warrior-teens, their paleontologist leader, and dinosaur helpers. As time went on, new generations of Power Rangers came into being and I learned more about the long history of Power Rangers I came to see that they are actually a good influence on my son's life -- and mine as well. Here are 10 ways that the Power Rangers have provided positive role models for both my son and myself.

First, the Power Rangers teach their young audience how to be a good person. The shows consistently demonstrate the teens helping others. They are heroes so they fight a range of villains and evil forces while in full Power Ranger mode. However the youths also help out children, the homeless, and other needy folks while not powered up in ranger form.

Power Rangers are also all about respect. Sometimes they learn the hard way to be more respectful but by and large they are respectful of their elders, each other, and other humans, life forms, and places. In a world where so many people seem to have lost the habit of respect it is always refreshing to see it exemplified by a popular media form.

Fans can also learn a lot about friendship from the Power Rangers. Many story lines deal with the problems and challenges faced by friends. These stories teach children that friendship and love can cross any boundary from gender to race to age.

Loyalty is another important value that the Power Rangers exemplify. The heroes are loyal to each other as well as their values. Many story lines emphasize lessons based on this important trait.

Perseverance can also be learned from the Power Rangers as they face many struggles and challenges to master their skills and powers as well as overcome their foes. Many times they face seeming insurmountable obstacles but Power Rangers don't give up.

They also demonstrate that determination and hard word are keys to success. Despite having super powers (or magic) and some pretty nifty tools, gadgets and assistants, nothing ever comes easy to the Power Rangers. They always win in the end but sometimes have to pay a pretty steep price for success.

Flexibility is another Power Ranger trait. Effective Rangers are flexible and adapt to changing circumstances, challenges, abilities, and allies. The ability to adapt and change is also key to success in real life so this is a good lesson that can benefit us all.

Learning is also a priority for the Power Rangers. They place great value on their education and training, not only as Rangers, but also as people. They recognize the knowledge is power and can be one of the greatest weapon anyone possesses.

Taking care of yourself physically and emotionally is also an important Ranger lesson. The rangers recognize they are more powerful and more effective if they are in top form both physically and emotionally.

And last, but certainly not least, the Power Rangers teach us all how to be a hero. They regularly give of themselves for the greater good and I can only hope that as more and more children are influenced by the Power Rangers that we will then have more and more heroes among us.

While I don't advocate buying into the vast franchise system powered by the rangers, although I must admit we have everything from jockey shorts and costumes to toys and DVDs in our home, you might want to check out a few shows and judge for yourself. There is a lot that children, and adults, can learn from the Power Rangers.

Provisions of Making a Truck Tonneau Cover in 7 Surefire Steps

Do you have a truck model car and you make use of it once in a while? Well, you probably need to look for something that will protect your car. Once you left your car from enemies like rain, hail, snow and excessive exposure to the sun, your car will turn out unattractive. In this case, you need to have something that will definitely protect the car- so making a truck tonneau cover is the perfect choice.

Tonneau is a protective cover that is utilized onto the truck bed. Apart from the purpose of protecting the truck bed from destructive elements, it is also used to protect the cargo. Tonneau cover is a very popular accessory for truck owners as well as drivers who regularly use truck for transporting loads or sensitive cargos. It can be purchased in a car shop or even in online stores. However, if you want to be wise and save up your allowance, you can start making a truck tonneau cover.

* 1 inch plywood
* 2 T-hinges
* Two locking mechanisms to secure your cargo in the truck bed
* 8 6mmx50mm hex bolts
* 8 1 or longer wood screws or
* 8 2 or longer machine screws
* Two 8ft 2x4s
* 16 fender washers
* Paint
* Wood sealant and stains
* Measuring tools, jigsaw, vinyl and sandpaper

1. Take the measurement accurately and remove the plastic caps and screw holes and measure the distance starting from 1 inch before you reach the end of the truck bed to the center of the first screw hole. Measure the distance among the first two and continue the same procedure to the achieving sets of screw holes. However, provide 1 inch before you reach the end of the bed. Also, to get the right measure of the top bed to the center of every whole. After that, measure the distance from the bottom of the plywood to the screw hole by reducing 1 inches from the last measurement that you have. By this, you will know the location wherein you will drill the hole in your 2x4s that should extend from Ω inch from the back as well as the front of the bed.

2. Go to the hardware store where you have purchased the plywood and show the measurements to cut the plywood, as cutting plywood alone can be a hard task for you.

3. Bore the holes that you have measured and give a 1 diameter allowance so you can make adjustments if necessary. Once you have a drill press, it would be better as you don't need to visit the hardware for the second time. The hole must be at least 1 inch deep and luck up these holes utilizing 6mmx50mm hex bolt.

4. Lay the plywood on the truck bed and push it until it reached the head of the truck and wrap the plywood by the vinyl to appear it more attractive.

5. Attach all of the hinges in the 2x4 at the front of the truck bed as well as on the tonneau cover.

6. Screw on the locking mechanism in the 2x4 and bolt the second piece of the locking mechanism on the plywood. Get the sandpaper and rub it on the plywood surface to make it become smoother and less look like plywood mounted at the back of the truck.

7. Paint all of the surface of the plywood and be certain not to leave any unpainted spot.

Making a truck tonneau cover is quite easy to do. Simply follow the instructions so you can get the best results that you desire on.

Walking Safari in Selous Game Reserve

Many of the safari camps in and around Selous Game Reserve offer their guests the opportunity to take part in a walking safari. Selous Riverside Camp on the banks of the Rufigi river are no different. The walks are relatively short lasting around 1-2 hours and covering no more than a mile or two. The terrain is usually fairly easy for most people and all the people on our walk wore trainers or similar comfortable shoes.

The walking safaris at Selous Riverside start early. We were woken up at 5.30am for a 6am start. There was just time for a quick cup of tea or coffee before boarding the vehicles to head for the days chosen walking location. As Selous Riverside is located outside the Selous National Park, we were also going to walk outside the park. Our destination was around 10-15 minutes away and we were soon on our way, heading through a nearby village and down one of the many side roads where we pulled over.

There was fairly thick vegetation all round us but paths that had been cleared by passing elephants and hippo were clearly visible so we followed these. Our group of 6 walkers was accompanied by an armed ranger and a local tracker. We were given a short briefing explaining procedures should we come across any wildlife and once everyone was happy, we set off. The ranger led the way and we all followed in single file with the tracker falling in behind.

Although it was fairly unlikely that we would come across any larger wildlife such as elephants or leopards mainly due to the noise we made, our ranger did tell us that he has seen a large selection of such animals during walks. This type of walking safari is more about the smaller things such as insects, plants and birds. The first item of interest we came across was a termite mound that stood at least 2 metres tall. The ranger explained that although the termite mound looked quite large, two-thirds of the system was underground. Quite impressive when you consider the size of the little creatures who built it.

The one inescapable sound was the almost deafening sound of cicadas which were all around us. Measuring between 1-2 inches, the cicada are similar to locusts and if you look closely, you'll see them all over the trees. They go through a 17 year life cycle and are preyed upon by pretty much everything in the wild. We were also shown plants like the Sausage Tree which takes its name from the sausage shaped fruit it produces. However, the fruit is much large than the traditional English breakfast sausage as it grows up to a metre in length and can weigh over 10kg.

The walk lasted for an hour and although it was all too easy to get the feeling it wasn't much different to a walk in a wood back in England, the occasional tracks we came across gave us a reminder that we were very much in Africa. Once back at the safari vehicle, we were soon on our way to camp for breakfast before heading out on another day on safari in the Selous Game Reserve.

'Bad Boy' Portrayal of Lone Ranger Angers Fans

The Lone Ranger rides into his next comic book adventure (#10) with a very rare black and white variant cover that portrays the masked man in what some fans say is a "dark and dismal" manner and should be avoided like the plague.

Prepared exclusively for Comic Collector Live, the John Cassaday (Eisner Award Winning artist) rendition from Dynamite Entertainment is getting powerful "love-hate" reactions from Lone Ranger fans.

"When we posted the cover art on our website we thought everyone would be excited about the special variant," said Joe Butler, CEO of Comic Collector Live. "But while most of the feedback has been positive, there are those who think this particular portrayal is actually a 'betrayal' of their favorite comic book hero."

The main complaints have centered on the dark and foreboding manner of the Lone Ranger. Steve Boyd, CCL's Research Director and event coordinator took a few phone calls from fans of the masked man who thought the hero appeared to be more like the Punisher. "You'll either love this cover or hate it," says Boyd. " Some say they love the strength of the Ranger in this pose and the emotion is really intense."

Butler, in announcing the special variant, was quick to pay homage to Cassaday and Dynamite. "Any time you can work with a great artist like John it's an honor!" said Butler. "We are especially excited about the Lone Ranger series because it's an American original. And we are thankful for the folks at Dynamite for allowing us to be part of this Eisner Nominated Best New Series!

US Ranger Training

From the early training days of Northern Ireland training of the first group of US Rangers to the nationally recognized group of elite soldiers, the US Rangers have always been the most highly regarded and nationally acclaimed soldiers in the US Army. Rangers are special because they have a knack for what they do and they are trained to build on the expertise that they possess inside of themselves. The US Rangers are certainly trained but more importantly, they train on the very core of training that they already possess inside.

Rangers are trained in many areas of specialty within the Armed services. What many people do not know is that all of the training of the US Ranger activities is heavily guarded and civilians are never allowed all access to know about the training the Rangers undergo as with many areas of the US Armed forces as well as other countries’ militaries.

US Rangers are trained for rapid deployment. Rangers are a fighting group of trained expert fighters who can be deployed and placed anywhere on the globe within a 24 hour period. Most Rangers are trained for Special Forces under special geographical conditions with varied climates and other entities which are faced in different global situations. One elite group of rangers is on call 24 hours a day and can deploy on a moment’s notice. Training is hard and specific and only the best will become US Rangers.

This highly trained group of elite soldiers will often reach some of the most dangerous training situations known within the armed forces because they must be well prepared for any situation in combat. The training is so intense that the average soldier will lose on average 30 pounds during the training session. Less than 40% who begin the training will actually finish the ranger training and go on to earn the coveted Ranger Tab. These groups of men are the elite and they have earned the right to be thought of as such. After grueling training in Georgia, they go on to face the swamps of Florida and the training gets more grueling instead of more tolerable with each passing day. Soldiers don’t get a good night sleep during the training courses and all soldiers are able to practice in the area of leadership roles.

Rangers are placed on a ‘ready mode’ when they need to be on stand-by for operations which require the ranger to be able to deploy quickly. The US Rangers know that the conditions that they face will always be the roughest in any combat zone.
